This quote moves me to be reminded that seeds need to be planted. They must overcome harsh conditions to become what they are meant to be. If they stay on a shelf, they don’t grow. If they seek safety, they don’t grow. They have to take flight and then be forced into the dirt, trampled, and watered just to sprout. After sprouting, they have to dig, dig, dig their roots into the ground to seek nutrition and water and to have security and stability. And from these tiny seeds that face so much, the most beautiful plants grow.
