New Study Finds the Global Gender Pay Gap Won’t Be Closed Until 2186

November 9, 2016 By Team Writer

There’s still a long way to go until we’ve closed our gender pay gap. The two won’t be equal until 170 years from now. Even the most gender equal paying country, Iceland, still pays males 14 – 18 percent more than females. The U.S. isn’t the worst, but we have more work to do as we rank in 45th.

Key Takeaways:

  • The pay gap between men and women is a persistent concern all over the world
  • Elon Musk wants to make humans an interplanetary species starting in 2024
  • The United States isn’t terrible, but it’s not fantastic either

“It may be a false equivalency, but think about this: Elon Musk wants to make humans an interplanetary species starting in 2024.”
